Programme for the Leipziger Symposium 2019 on Dynamic Sorption
Advanced Sorbent Materials on the Way to Application

The Institut für Nichtklassische Chemie e.V. (INC), an An-Institute of Leipzig University and a member of ZUSE-Gemeinschaft e.V., proudly announces the hosting of the “Leipziger Symposium” in 2019 continuing the successful series of scientific events. Due to the very positive feedback, this series developed to an annual event, focusing on dynamic sorption processes from different perspectives, spanning from academia to industry.

Subsequently, the symposium serves the exchange of user experience and inspires the development of new measuring techniques based on dynamic sorption. The symposium will provide an overview of modeling dynamic sorption processes corresponding to the methodology of modern experimental technologies given by experts in the field. Well known lecturers will introduce the current view on this topic from a material viewpoint to the state-of-the-art technology.

In the last years researchers were able to produce a large variety of interesting sorbent materials. While surface characteristics and pore size distribution properties showed promising results, the availability of data about selectivities and kinetics in separation processes is yet limited. The symposium will give a current snapshot of these materials on their way to application.
